True. But I'm sure there was alot of derelict prostitutes in the early 70's too. Heroin was very popular at the time.

I think the photographer wanted to capture these ordinary girl next door types. And did it quite well IMO.

Crime has merely moved South...to Wall Street and on a MUCH larger scale.

Yes, the Times Square area was a far more interesting place a couple decades ago before it became a tourist trap called Disneyland North!
