That there wasn't mass destruction is a major blow to the Bloomberg administration? Uh, yeah that makes sense....

I don't want to go too far out on a limb making predictions, but I suspect the city has survived Irene's visit. And as a punishment for all the hysteria they tried to whip up, the media should be banned from all broadcasting for the next 72 hours. (If people decide they like it that way, the ban could be extended indefinitely).

Default what is the significance of 12/12?

by 11/11/11 are you referring to AA flt 587?

i don't mean to get off topic but weren't AA flt 191 and AA flt 587 the nations top two deadliest airline disasters?

Hey thats what they do. I dont really put any blame on them. Media for the most part will always exagerrate in order to maintain viewers. Its up to the public to rationalize it in a sane way.

I just brought it up because its a curious date. To some people it might have added meaning whether good or bad.

Exclamation Irene: The Aftermath

I know a few of you feel very silly........With your million cans of tuna and other non perishables. Gallons of water, bread, Vienna sausages etc.

So how did everyone make it through the minor RAIN storm? That's really all it was.....

I slept through the night. I didn't even hear any wind. Woke up, all power still on. Made a nice breakfast and now watching the news exaggerate the (non) damage.

I think he did the right thing. Nothing happened because no one was on the road.
