None of those nabes are "white"....Country Club, all the Pelhams, and Throgs Neck are very mixed now with growing numbers of Hispanics, however they are the nabes with any substantial white population. Riverdale is heavily Jewish..the only place in the world that considers Jews white is NYC, and that's for a whole other discussion.

People in Kingsbridge police themselves as well and they have a high standard just like Kingsrbidge. The difference is that police and politicans seem to omly to cater to the demands of Riverdale. There is no justification for gates in one area and not in another at least not in this particular case......this is bull****

[quote=Mistertee;25979592]Hilltopjay, the truth doesn;t hurt at all, instead it sets you free. Its a law in NYC that city parks have to be closed at a certain time. It should be enforced the same throughout the city.

It is true that city parks have to be closed at a certain time however they are not enforced the same throughout the city. The playground by my house is never locked at all but yet by my other half's house in the Bronx, the gates are locked right at sunset.

Parks that cater to a demographic that causes riff-raff in the parks tend to be gated while parks that cater to a more civilized and non-ghetto demographic tend NOT to be gated and locked up. It makes perfect sense.

Why give hood people a venue to congregate and "chill", hustle, play dice, write graffiti, drink 40s, etc.?
