Actually I would say it was another bad weekend for Brooklyn...the article noted many BK shootings.
Wrong you are. I read the article when njnyckid first posted it and remember it mentioning bunch of places in the Bronx. I have no idea why the article was changed but here is the original article.
A man was shot in the leg and chest on Frost St. in East Williamsburg about 10:30 p.m. Saturday and taken to Bellevue Hospital.
Two men were shot, one in the foot and one in the leg, on Lincoln Ave., in the Cypress Hills section of Brooklyn about 11:15 p.m. They were rushed to Jamaica Hospital.
A 34-year-old man was shot in the leg inside an apartment on Hoyt St. in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn, about 1:10 a.m. Sunday and taken to Lutheran Medical Center.
A man was shot in the buttocks on E. 141st St. in Mott Haven about 4:15 a.m. Cops were looking for a 17-year-old gunman.
A man was shot in the leg on Marion Ave. in the Fordham section of the Bronx about 4:20 a.m. and taken to St. Barnabas Hospital.
A man was shot in the leg on 355 E. 184th St. in the Fordham section of the Bronx about 4:30 a.m.
A man was shot in the back on Third Ave. in Mott Haven in the Bronx just after 5 a.m. and taken to Lincoln Hospital.
Mott Haven mentioned (twice), as usually is the case with shootings and death.
So you can say it was another bad weekend for the Bronx.
Why would they have changed the article? That makes no sense...something is up. Mott Haven is usually mentioned....you can't have a crime article without it..it's the law!
SPRINGFIELD GARDENS, Queens (WABC) -- The NYPD is investigating a sexual assault in Queens.
Police released a sketch of the suspect wanted for attacking a woman early Sunday morning in the Springfield Gardens section.
Police say the suspect pushed the victim to the ground, punched her in the face and attempted to rape her.
He took off when a neighbor heard the woman scream. The police commissioner revealed the number of sexual attacks is up 14% this year.

You know what sucks supermario? That mott haven didnt make any news or noise during laborday weekend. As for double shootings being usual lol. It was much worser in the 1920, 1930s illegal alcolol bootlegging and also worse for the past 30 something years. Lincoln hospital is like a makeshift battlefield hospital.

This should be great news to those who post here about being nostalgic about 1970's/80's New York. Subway crime up 17% is quite serious. There is clearly a declining police presence everywhere in the city.
Naw, all the wannabe hip-hoppers, bohemians, anti-capitalists, and whitebread backwards cap Gz are already calling home to mommy about how scary the city is becoming. I guess gentirification was great while it lasted eh?
In all seriousness, I truly hope the NYPD gets on this fast. I'm not confident however since Bloomberg doesn't really see nor care what happens outside of Manhattan below 96st. What's frightening is that beyond 2013 I don't see any serious mayoral contenders beyond poverty pimps/union hacks. Both would trash the city's finances and reputation.
Basically the cops are too scared of patrolling dangerous ghetto areas so they have to meet certain drug arrest quotas to keep them out of there. This benefited Bloomberg and Co. because they can say they are cleaning up the streets from drug addicts while pretending actual crime has gone down.
