NYC has more then a dozen main events, theres always something to see and do here. But some other events hosted by other regions of the country like say for example Mardi Gras, SXWS will probably blow anything that NYC has to offer.

Labor day parade is the largest...It's just more "ethnic" than the others and is in Brooklyn

I though celebrating LABOR was considered passe, if not unAmerican, and is now celebrated only by a handful of old Communists in Union Square. Now it's all "Capitalism Über Alles." <gagggh!>
