Default New in the Village

Howdy

I recently moved to NYC (West Village) from Austin, TX...
New York is definitely great but I am looking for things to do/places to go..

I only know a couple of people in the city - so I suppose I am still trying to find my ways around..

if anybody else is new & wants to join forces
or if you know of a good hole in the wall place - lemme know

cheers!
-MM

Wow, if you live in the Village, there's so many things to do/places to go I wouldn't even know where to start!

The Village Voice online has a feature you can sign up for that will send you daily e-mails about what's doing on a daily basis (not comprehensive, but maybe worth a look).

I'd also recommend checking out meetup.com--they have literally hundreds of groups based on an unending variety of interests where you can get together and meet like-minded people. I haven't gone to any meetups yet (moved from downtown Manhattan to the Bronx, and there's virtually none out here) but it looks like a great way to meet other people and have some fun.
