I'm torn. I want the awesome view but I want to drink beer and BBQ in my backyard.

What's wrong with the wrap around 'terrace' of your penthouse?

Jfyi, the nature of a 'penthouse' is outdoor space. A true penthouse is built upon the buildings roof and never takes the entire roof space. Usually single story, sometimes double. Also, it isn't a penthouse w/o a private elevator!

Enjoy.

Townhouse 100%. Less people and MUCH more quality sleep.

I'm torn!!
I would love a Penthouse and wake up with the New York skyline below outside my window.
But I love the lifestyle assoiated with living in a townhouse.
But, gun to my head, I would choose a penthouse.
I live in a high-rise two-bedroom (55th Floor) here in the city. One day I know I would have to move if I want a family, but if I could afford a penthouse I would love it. Enough room for a family and I still get to keep my views.
I guess I could still get my penthouse with my budget...if I move to Jersey in a mid-rise

Tough choice. Maybe a penthouse if it was in a building with a pool, health club and party room. But then again, a townhouse can be so charming and homey.

Most luxurious penthouse residents don't hear a peep from anyone. Remember they often have the entire top floor to themselves.

Would I own the whole townhouse, or what? Would I have to pay for the roof problems with the penthouse?
