Here's some interesting facts about this city and state:

1) 35% of the NYC budget is for welfare

http://www.nyc.gov/html/omb/downloads/pdf/sum5_11.pdf

2) NYS spends over $52 Billion per year on medicaid, far more than any other state

Attack Fraud in Medicaid - Room for Debate - NYTimes.com

3) Cuomo the idiot governor just mandated that medicaid recipients can receive their forms in any one of SIX languages other than english - and they are no longer visited by the state to make sure they quality, they only have to write in their assets/income on the forms

The city government has about 250,000 employees, California's medi-Cal budget was 48 billion in 2008, your 35% of the city's money is spent on welfare is completely wrong or your including all sorts of social programs and education spending, NYC/NYS income tax is not the highest in the country. It's only the highest for people who make more than $150,000, in all other income brackets a number of cities have higher income taxes.

Where are you getting that figure? I see 9.8 billion out of a 49.6 billion dollar budget is spent on health and welfare. Not quite 35%

Two-million illegal immigrants in NYC? So 1 in 5 New Yorkers are here illegally? Or the entire boroughs of The Bronx and Staten Island.

If there is a reason to remain in this rathole, I can no longer think of one.
Sounds like you have made a final decision so I guess we won't be hearing from you anymore.

Good luck wherever you are going.I really hope things work out better for you wherever you go and you don't have to be so angry all the time. It's not good for your health.

Page 60:

Health and Welfare: $15.2 billion / $66 billion = 23%, which assumes ZERO money from the other 101 city departments like Education spend nothing on supporting illegal aliens, which is obviously not the case.

My mistake, NYC has "only" 500,000, it was CA which has 2.3 MM. Congratulations to them

...........
Wait. You started this thread with the claim that "the 5 boros" of NYC has "over 2 million illegal aliens. Then you backtrack and say,oh sorry I made a mistake,it is only 500,000 illegal aliens.

And then I look at your source and it says there are 489,000 illegal aliens in
NY STATE ?

So what have we gone from with the number of illegals in NYC ? From over 2 million to 200,000 ?

What kind of games are you playing ?

and:

"New York ranks 50th in the Tax Foundation's State Business Tax Climate Index."

Oh boy, so NY has the second highest tax rate for individuals, and has the WORST climate for business in the US. Yes, proud to be a NYer today

By definition, since illegals are ILLEGAL, an EXACT count cannot be determined, only ESTIMATES. I have seen them as high as 2 million, and as low as 400K+, as if the lower number is something to be proud of...

Well when my lease is up next summer, I'm outta here. I know, I know, don't let the door hit me on the way out.

The rent is too damn high for what you get.

Consider yourself blessed that you are not a citizen of that god forsaken country your parents came from. Legal as you may be it allright with me, I wouldn't want to live in that country either so I ain't mad at ya.
