Advertisements

stuff are the Broadway shows and the new theaters on 42 street(and the great BB King Club)

otherwise Times Square is just crass commercialism but at least it's a place that is wholesome and family oriented

Times Square is an entertainment district. You go there to be entertained. Simple as that. If you don't want to eat, or see a show or movie, stay home. Why hate on it?

It's not an entertainment district.
It's a tourist rip off spot. NY'ers don't really go there.

I have no problems with it though.

I think of it as a tourist amenity but its infinitely better now that the pedestrian thing is going on on Broadway, makes New York quite unique among American cities to give up that much road to people.

I can tolerate Times Square on a Sunday AM when the crowds are not too intense. Otherwise, it's another section of NYC that I avoid.

Eh. I'm just "eh" about it. It is what it is and it's changed. It's definitely for the tourist and I personally get annoyed by it but also love it (for 5 minutes only) once I return from the city being away up in the mountains (which I love by the way but I always need a mix of city and nature). When I'm in the city, I'm not really around Times Square regularly. Not my cup of tea, too touristy, corny and it's like a resort getaway for ghetto ass people from the outter boroughs on weekends.

Default rlrl, I've been wondering why

you always start off your posts in the title area? This always throws me off. I asked you this on the first page but it got deleted because I used a curse word in the post like a naughty boy.

OK, that I will give you. The last time I was there was last summer we saw "Billy Elliott" (excellent). We went on a Thursday after work, there was about a million people all arounf the area, the walk from the subway, inbetween all the people and construction going on, plus it was 1000 degrees and humid...ugh....so we aitind in the lobby of the hotel with the elevators going up and down, thats was actually fun.
After the play we waited in the subway for a train that took 45 minutes to come, that was kinda abnormal, as subway service is usually good. We got off at 18th street got into our car and went home, the BB was about a million cars, work at Tillary made the crossing horriffic, got home at 1pm....and this was a Thursady night.

I have zero plans to ever go to Times Square again, not even for a free Broadway show..........not ever.

it is really just for tourists.....this Brooklyn born man ain't having it...

Default if you want to know

why i do that it's because i type pretty much all day at work. i create many reports on clients so we can bill insurance for our services

by the time i get home i am tired and drained and don't want to have to think of what i am going to put in the title bar

i just write a few words in the title bar and then go on underneath

simple as that

not out to deliberately aggravate or annoy anyone
