There are a certain percentage of the apts at St. Ann's that are designated to those coming from out of the shelters.

MizzAmbitious..... Hey to you! I hope all goes well for me today. Did you apply to St. Ann's? If not please continue to apply I see theres a affordable housing application process for a development in Queens. I do wish you the best on your apt search.

Well I had my interview this morning at St. Ann's from the waiting area and you would follow the interviewer to their cubicle and you would handle the paper work, credit check and sign off on other documents and then they would tell you of any documents that you would need to submit. Not at this interview. It was about 60-70 people in the community room some were families bc if those on your application were over 18 then they had to be present at the interview. One family had 7 people sitting in front of the interviewer. They had 4 women that were conducting the interviews. They were sitting at one long table so basically any and all applicants that were sitting at that table you were 1 foot from the next peron. I didnt like that bc I dont want other people hearing my personal business. Not to the mention 98% of the people there obviously didnt have jobs. I could be wrong but I doubt it. I feel like even if you are unemployed would it kill you to dress appropiately? I felt like a complete outcast like I was in the wrong place. So now its a waiting game. I have to fax them the letter from NYCERS containg the amount in my pension but other than that things seem good. The lady interviewing me asked why do I want to leave North Rose? I took that question as a sign that maybe just maybe I need to stay put right where I am. But I told her my current apt is a spacious 1 bedroom and my daughter needs her own space so if I can get a 2 bedroom for the same price of what I'm paying now then whay not. Then she asked me if I'm in good standing with Wavecrest as far as rent payments are concerned and I assured her that my rent gets paid every month and always before the 5th of the month. So she told me I should here something within a few weeks so I will keep all posted.

I'm missing an whole entire sentence. It should have stated that the interview process with North Rose was more intimate vs. the interview process with St. Ann's.

I'm not sure which buildings are which but from reading up on this development online there are a total of 7 buildings A-F. Buildings C, D, and E have a total of 314 apts combined with 95 of those apartments reserved for those coming out of the Shelters. Just something to put out there.

If your not in the 601 or 605 buildings (which are the buildings that have the apt layouts that are on the wavecrest St Anns Terrace website), your screwed. We had NO HEAT for months. they decided to give us heat when spring came around -_-........St Anns Terrace should be called NEWLY CONSTRUCTED POLOGROUNDS PROJECTS. Drugs are being sold in my building, the 3rd floor smells like someone is in the hallway smoking weed all day, you find blunt wrappers & used condoms and condom wrappers in the staircases, etc. One night, someone was drunk, sleeping on the floor, in the corner of the laundry room. Mind you, these buildings have camera's all over. It looks nice from the outside and in the hallways (some of the times) but the ppl just keep it so nasty. Its sad bc you would think that ppl would want to keep where they live clean.....HA! not here....My building's intercom system has been inoperable for more than a month now. Mgmt said they were going to fix it a month ago......to this day, our intercom's do not work. Oh and when I came home, today, i saw a sign from Mgmt, in the lobby, that read......"BEDBUG SEASON IS HERE!".....Uhmmm, correct me if i'm wrong, but i didnt know that there was such a season for bedbugs. For month's, I've seen mattresses being discarded from 4 of the buildings, every week, and I was wondering why....Now i know! Only thing I can say is that the rooms are a good size. I have a 2br and although its not a big apt at all, my son and I have goo size bedrooms & I have a walk-in closet. and my livingroom is a nice size.....*heavy sigh*.....Feel free to ask me any questions about this place......Hope this helps a little.
Yikes!!! But I do agree with you except St. Ann's is nowhere near polo grounds lol. But it's still the Bronx and a new building doesn't mean people will change their personalities and attitudes. I don't think it's that bad and I feel safe thats what matters to me...and who the hell was sleeping in that hot ass Laundry room thank god he didn't pass out!

@ S Davenport I'm curious how did your interview go for St. Ann's? I interviewed in March and I have yet to receive a call or notice in regards to my status for a 2bedroom & mind you I'm already an existing tenant at another bldg they manage. Honestly, they are the worst management. Good Luck with the process
