Update:
I have made the decision to live in West Village. I do need to commute to Jersey City for work, which is the only thing.

Hmmm W12 & Washington.

How times and neighborhoods
have changed.
The neighborhood was home to a place that was world renouned for sleazy gay sex...anything went by the hundreds. It was called THE MINE SHAFT and if you hung around long enough there is nothing in the realm of sexuality that you wouldn't see...or DO.
There was never anything like it before or since.

It was closest to LITTLE W. 12th on Washington and everything in the area smelled of old meat.

(Fond memories of stumbling out at 5 AM and finding my car battery missing...AGAIN!)

Haha.
That sounds funny. Its amazing how areas can change.
Anyway, I will be in the city tomorrow and make a decision. Dealing with 2 different brokers.
But I am also considering that other building at 666 Greenwhich.

Jesus though,
You sound like you are making a good salary and living in NYC will needlessly expose you to a City income tax that you would have avoided completley had you chosen to live in New Jersey. Not to mention the considerrable differential between the two states' income taxes.

Remember, Newport (Jersey City) is less than 10 minutes from the West Village...and the PATH runs in BOTH directions so you could do all your frolicking in NYC without paying the taxes and then quickly go home to sleep in NJ.

Oh my goodness: 666 GreenWITCH at Halloween...watch out for anyone named ROSEMARY either with or without a baby.

For what you are paying, couldn't you have gotten right on the water (West Street?)
