So I guess on Nov 1 DirecTV will be dropping a large chunk of FOX-owned channels. I could care less about most of these channels, but I love watching FX. Is this reason enough to get out of the 2 year contract without penalty fees out the wazoo?

I didnt know that. I have directv but I wouldnt drop them Because of that. I dont watch fox channels at all not even channel 5. Sucks for fx fans. Talk to them maybe you can finnagle some other channels out of them.

These kind of disputes usually get worked out though. Neither side wants to lose customers.
