Disgusting.

Whats even more disgusting than the cops commiting these blatant CRIMES (no longer just abuses of power) is that there will still be a HUGE population of people here that will NEVER see the cops as doing any wrong. In their mind the "good apples bad apples" argument will forever justify this Moderator cut: Inappropriate language

No one uses that argument to justify behavior like this. They use it to explain an obviously true fact: not all cops are like these guys. If you believe that all NYPD cops are like these guys, you're just allowing your emotions to get to you. It is one thing to be wary based on these incidents, which do seem to be too frequent lately, but it would be quite a stretch to say it is everyone.

Are you suggesting that simply by being in the same department that every cop is helping to cover up corruption, or are you in need of critical thinking lessons?

I'm saying that every precinct in NY or any other large city has cops who are up to no good -- from bogus arrests to smuggling to rape and murder -- and pretty much every cop in those precincts knows what's going on, and would swear on a stack of bibles that it wasn't.

Bogus arrests happen in some precincts for sure. And "bogus" can be debated back and forth with an entire thread of its own. Smuggling, rape, and friggin murder happen on a very miniscule scale relative to the size of the department. You serious with this nonsense?

Sorta right....sorta wrong.
In 2011 it's waaaaaaaay better than it was in the 70s.

Back then smuggling, rape, and murder was quite common.
People remember.

Un-supportable statements like this have nothing of substance to respond to. As I stated earlier, it shows that you are letting emotional response get in the way of rational thought.
