Hi everyone! I am new here. We are moving to New York soon. I was just wondering how safe is it to live in Kingston Place in Jamaica, Queens?

Thanks!

That is in Jamaica Estates, which is a pretty safe area. Homes range from middle class, to upper middle class, to wealthy.

Kingston Place is a nice enough area, the downside is this. There is nothing to do when you are there. No movie theatre, coffee shop, cool restaurants, art shows or pubs with in walking distance. Forest Hills which is about 6 subway stops away has all that stuff. It is also about 40 minutes from midtown on the subway, the upside is this, you will always get a seat getting on at 169 street or 179 street.

"coffee shop, cool restaurants, art shows or pubs with in walking distance."

Move to *****ville aka Northwest Brooklyn if you want that.

Thanks for the responses. I'm just mainly concerned with the safety of the area.

Yeah that's a good area, very quiet especially for a Queens nabe.
