Nobody is making you get a gun. That doesn't mean people in NYC shouldn't have the same rights as someone in Miami, Philly, etc. (All large cities where CCW permits are shall issue). And if a gun is not neccessary "in the safest big city in the world" why do retired police officers fight tooth and nail to carry?
