Go by the book (don't go into intersections, drag the cans to the back of the truck, clean up your spillage, actually get out and clean the cornercap, etc). You will be lucky to get half a line done. Hand three quarters of the basket route back and watch his head spin. As long as you watch your breaks and keep it movin you are untouchable. P.S. here is another good one. Before you and your partner get out to clean the corner cap, find a legal parking spot for the truck. LOL

I'm not exactly sure of the % numbers but the NYPD guys get like 41% after 22.5 but have to work 25 to get 48%. Also I heard they only get their full pension until social security kicks in and then their pension is significantly reduced. But the PD and FD both have age limits on their new hires so i don't think that would work with us. On top of that the new NYPD recruits don't get the variable supplement check. I'm pretty sure that when the FD hires again they will have the same. I'm just happy i got this job when i did!

Gentlemen & Ladies, This question goes out to all of the JULY & AUGUST 2008 san-workers. Does anyone know what the process is to make sure that we receive our 3 and half year raises in our checks. I know that the July class should already be receiving the raise and the August class should have it processed this week as we are nearing the anniversary on Saturday.
In the past, I believe the section forman just put it in for you with your payroll for the week. I'm not sure how it works with CityTime. All help is appreciated, just want to make sure we get our fair share of what's coming to us.

Does anyone know how long it takes to get your name back on the list after you win your appeal from a medical hold?
