Yeah, I should of explained more. This is a hypothetical situation. I just wanted to find out how far that salary would go and if NYC is really as expensive as it seems. Now I know it really is, it just re-inforces what I first thought.
I loved NYC growing up, had books on it and posters around my room. Now that I'm older and starting to make real decisions to shape my future, I see how tough it would be to make it. I would love to live in a cheaper area, like Brooklyn, so it's not impossible to live my dream in NYC. Just not as flashy as I was expecting as a youngster.
Theres still alternatives - as I said I love Chicago, and would be very, very happy if I ever managed to move there and work.
Just shows what comes along with living in the epicenter of the entire world.
