Friend asked me about AOC (L'Aile ou la Cuisse) in the West Village at the corner of Bleeker and Grove.
It is very pricey and he is wondering if the cuisine fits the price.

I know the location has been the kiss of death for decades with one failed restaurant after another.

Have any of you eaten there? What do you think?

The price looks reasonable on its online menu, and actually less pricey that I expected for the location.

I've been there and also order delivery from them.

I have nothing bad to say about the place and think their prices are "moderate" for the area.

Ate there once and don't remember a single dish. But Seymour Philip Hoffman was there which made for a fin film-nerd celeb sighting.

However, I highly recommend Buvette around the corner. Great food, friendly service.

My friend is getting a freebie there and looking forward to it.
