Actually I miss going down to the Lower East Side in the area around Delancy. There were numerous stores that sold cloths rather inexpensively. Many had sub-basements filled wall to wall with clothing. Speak a little yiddish and pay with floose and you went home with a better deal than you would have ever gotten at a retail discounter.

So I did BURLINGTON COAT and got a terrific London Fog woolen bomber-type jacket...warm enough for 32 degrees.
Markdown to $69.95.
The checkout lines were HORRENDOUS...30 minutes.
