Possibly but it's a long shot. 3 Bedrooms? Maybe, but 2 bathrooms? no. Might have to spend $2k to see that happen.

tabet,

I don't know Midwood, but I've skimmed the net for apartments...don't see anything that big and that cheap.

You probably can find a rent stabilized apt, perhaps a coop for rent and/or something in a privtae 2 or 3 family.

Though you are unlikely to find a listing on Craigslist. Many of the people who own and/or rent in Midwood (and much of non trendy Brooklyn), don't do Craigslist!

You'll need to hit the bricks and visit the local real estate broker offices. Such apartments are generally kept close to the breast, among locals and natives.

Note, if you are bunch of post college hipster/transplant types looking for cheap rent, realiize that you'll be far less attractive as a tenant in Midwood and other non trendy non ghetto areas of Brooklyn.

You may be viewed as transient and irresponsible, so you may have less success than other areas, such as Astoria, ro example.

Which means you don't know much of Brooklyn and/or Flatbush. Yet, you feel qualified to make erroneous statements, such as,"The majority of NYC apartments provide 'cooking gas' as part of the rent"; and argue about it!

Seriously? I've never seen any apartment provide gas as part of the rent!
