That video was a horrible representation of ny. It should be called "I moved here from Kansas a year ago and think im from ny"
This video is a little more accurate:

It's satire people. I'm black and don't wear flip flops, but I have said many of the things in that video. It's poking fun at the ridiculous things some of us who live here say. It wouldn't be funny if it was "No, I can't spare any change... You need the Far Rockaway train to get to JFK... No, I don't want your cd..."

I related to having to tell the cab that they had to go to an outer borough, but I didn't say it so nicely as in this video....

And saying that we've always wanted a dog but it's not fair because we're never home and have no outdoor space.

Some of the other stuff? Ehh.... It was humorous but definitely more on the hipster edge. Bragging about never going to BK or Queens?? That's weird to me. And when I miss a train it's definitely more of a #*(&#$(@ than a frustrated sigh.

But I got a good chuckle out of it.

These are yuppies their different than hipsters, yuppies are usually liberal young urban professionals while hipsters try to act like their all artists, wear terrible super trendy retro clothes, and try to listen to the most obscure indie and underground music.

Or your average "Manhattanite" from lower Manhattan or the UES/UWS. Most New Yorkers talk ghetto.

A real NYer would say "Where the f---k is the f---king train! F---king MTA! What is up with this s---t! Don't they know I need to get to work on time?"

Then the train finally comes and someone gets on looking sick...

"Oh hell no...you better limp your a$$ off this train!"

Hahahahaa

And seriously what New Yorker actually brags "I was here on 9/11"? Only some outsider desperate for street cred or something would say that.

More things actual New Yorkers say:
"Ugh, I gotta transfer at Times Square"
Forget the Brooklyn and Queens reference, it's more "Staten Island? I'm not going to Staten Island, sorry"
"Been waiting long?" (any bus stop)
"Move in to the freaking train!" (rush hour)
"What are they killing/milking the cow in the back?" (any given food establishment)
