Gyms in Manhattan (New York, Paris, York: to buy, YMCA, live)

Hi, I'm looking to buy a gym membership for my brother who lives in Manhattan-- 460 Central Park West.

Does anyone know of an inexpensive gym with sauna and steam room around there?

Don't know the prices of these, but you can try
Paris Health Club 97th and WEA
NY Sports Club 95th & Bdway and 124th & 8th
West Side YMCA 63rd & CPW

I suspect I've listed them from most expensive to least. I think all have steam/sauna.

Not many on the upper-upper West Side. I think he might need some busing for convenience.

My gym is across town, NYSC at 91St and Third. A big place and it has a pool, and steam but no sauna. Pricing is on the low end of NYC gyms.

There's also an NYSC at 23 W. 73rd but again, a subway or bus down CPW for your brother....but that can be quite quick.

But if he joins ONE he has access to the others, perhaps one near work? New York Sports Clubs are all over town.
