If she's a nerd girl

Anybody know any places in NJ/New York that show old movies? Especially sci-fi movies? Especially places that serve drinks?

She told me about a barcade - Place where they have old-school arcade games, but also serve drinks - so that's obviously a thing

The Way Station

The Way Station is a Doctor Who themed bar on Washington in Brooklyn, I would say would a must for any nerd girl. And the Shirley Temple of Doom looks tasty.

You JUST missed a screening of Metropolis (1920s Scifi movie) at the BK museum- that was this weekend. However, the Museum of the Moving Image, in Queens, is showing showing a series of Scifi movies over the next few weeks. The Fly is showing this weekend.

I'm sure there are a bunch of theaters that screen old movies. Since you mention NJ, one notable theater is the Landmark Loews Theater, which airs old movies frequently. They even have silent movies where they have an on-location organ player! Super cool. Here is the upcoming schedule: The Landmark Loews Jersey Theatre - Schedule - The Landmark Loews Jersey Theatre (http://loewsjersey.org/alt/index.php?option=com_eventlist&view=eventlist&Item id=27 - broken link)

FYI there is also a Barcade in Jersey City, similar to the one in Brooklyn.
