Are/Can hipsters allowed to celebrate the Giants victory?
Can new transplanters (less than 3 years in New York).

A true hipster maybe apathetic to the whole thing so they may be out of the question.

But can transplanters and tourists officially/authentically/genuinely celebrate the jolly stomping of the New England patriots?

Hmmm, the real question should be whether NY'ers can actually lay claim to the celebration at all.

Many transplants would probably woot for the pats over the giants any way. As for Hipsters they would rather watch kickball game over football. Many transplants come from small homogeneous towns which only revolve around college sports teams. Here in nyc we all pro boyyyyyyy.

I thought the Giants were from New Jersey. Why would any self respecting NY'er want to celebrate the victory of a New Jersey team?

And isn't Eli Manning a transplant ?

Eli Manning lives in NJ. He (and his payable income tax to the Garden State) are beneath your blue blooded, elite ..................... Bronx pedigree?

I would think so--providing they were actually fans in the first place and not bandwagon jumpers. Fandom doesn't respect local geography. I've got a coworker who was born and raised right here in New York City, and yet (inexplicably) he's a Seattle Seahawks fan.

The real question, which you've diplomatically side-stepped, is whether hipsters should be allowed to live here at all.
