I am early 30's, single male looking to purchase a condo in a decent area that will keep my commute to midtown under an hour. I have been living in Manhattan since 2003 but getting tired of spending the $$ on rent. I dont need a crazy singles scene since I go out a lot during the week after work but would like an area with maybe a good a sports bar/irish pub, starbucks etc. in walking distance (10-15 min) since I probably will not have a car right away. My price range is right around $300,000. Obviously an acceptable walk (10-15min) to the train or bus would be nice. Open for any areas of suggestion. And if you know the names of any buildings that would be great also. No co-ops though. Thanks in advance!!
