Instead of creating a new thread, I figured I would join on this one.

My wife and I will be in NYC over our anniversary, and I am looking for a great Italian restaurant to take her to. I can call now and make the reservations, which would give me around 6 weeks ahead. I am not worried about parking since I will be travelling by taxi while I'm there. I am just looking for some place that has good food, classic Italian, on Manhattan (don't want to travel all over the place), and priced reasonably...around $50-100 plate. Our hotel is near the Theater district for a reference point.

Thanks in advance.

i second what someone suggested to the OP...
Felidia's!
Lydia is an amazing woman, her food is wonderful and it's not too terribly expensive.

It's close to the Fresh Pond Rd. M train and if you're in Manhattan either the L or the M can take you to Ridgewood... You can transfer from the L to the M on Myrtle and Wyckoff... It's not too far.
Do you know of any others in Queens, preferable west of Van Wyck Expressway? I used to frequent Antica all the time, but am unable to go there anymore. I would like them to be open lunch everyday. I have frequented quite a few in Whitestone, Bayside, Murray Hill section of Queens, and none hold a candle to Antica though.
