We're a young couple (32 and 30) who is looking for a new home. We're 1st time buyers and we decided to settle for a co-op (house and condo are too expensive at this point in our lives...)

In the past 6 months we went to a million open houses/scheduled visits and have real estate agents calling us non-stop... We are pre-approved and all that...

We know where and what we want: a dog-friendly co-op, 2bdr, decent size, good neighborhood etc. We both have cars and have no children.

Our plan is to move out from Manhattan where we currently rent and move to a place for 5 years or so and then eventually move to a house.

The area we prefer is Bayside. Alley Pond is great but we were kinda disappointed with the size of the place... Same for Windsor Oaks. Windsor Park doesn't allow dogs. Glen Oaks is meh...

We ventured into Great Neck Terrace today and I really liked the places there. My fiance is Asian and was born and raised in Bayside so she knows the area pretty well. I was quite happy with GN Terrace, she wasn't really... and she pointed out the snottiness, cockiness and rudeness of the people in general there...

I'm kinda disappointed (on top of the $3000 flip taxes in GN Terrace) and at this point I just reach the crossroads and don't really know where to head to...

Any suggestions/tips from the experts around here?

Thanks in advance

What's wrong with Glen Oaks? Have you looked in Little Neck or Douglaston? There are co-ops there as well. There might be some co-ops in Bay Terrace as well.

Default I'm actually looking to sell my 2br coop in bayside

Hi there,

I'm looking to sell a 2br coop in bayside, on 46th ave and 215pl, jefferey gardens. I haven't signed with broker yet, so it's a sell by owner. Let me know if you're interested.
