Hey, just need a little info.

I'm visiting the United Nations Headquarters this Saturday. I want to find a residential street to park my car on and keep it there all day; I'll arrive in the early AM Saturday. I want to park somewhere between the East 60-79th streets if possible.

Anybody got suggestions? Just trying to avoid tickets, citations, etc.

Park in a garage for $10, with this coupon:

diggs,

Don't even think about finding free street parking near the U.N., it's not possible.

But I dont know the area well, i just know it is more exclusive than Harlem, so parking may be more of a hassle.

There's actually free street parking directly opposite the U.N. but people who know about it don't want to tell anyone about it.

As for the OP most of the street parking in that area of the UES is metered on Saturday, although the smaller cross streets are alternate side so if you can afford to wait then you can see if anyone who has snagged a park during the week is going to be heading out for the weekend.

Pray tell. what street is this free parking on? Is it right across from the UN building?
