Yes.
I find it pretty incosiderate when people listen with thier phone on speaker.

What if I wanna nap on the train while you play your song?
What if I don't like your type of music?

if I wanted to listen to a specific track, I'd would dowloaded it and listen to it with my headphones.

Just wish people would extend the same courtesy.

I love music as much as the next person, but I prefer headphones when on the train. My first thought would be the disrespect to others on the train. I've sat next to people who clearly have the volume set to max on their headphones and even then, I find it disrespectful. Not to mention the damage on their hearing...

I'm also a BIG fan of Nas, Nas was the music artist who recorded the song.

When I heard the song thru the train ride I was ecstatic to hear my favourite rappers voice. And what made it even more unique was hearing nas mention Queens . So I actually enjoyed the 3:50 of music that was played upon the train ride.

So my question is, do you get irritated by people playing music on the metro train? Would you still be irritated if the track was about your burough?
It depends on the song & the volume & audio quality...some phones are all treble & sound terrible!!!

To play music loudly on the train or bus is to make the ignorant assumption that everyone likes the music you like. Use headphones.

Actually, of course, that's giving 'em too much credit. They're not making any assumptions--they don't give a damn about anyone else. They're only thinking about themselves. (But...if you do the same thing to them, it's a crisis of major proportions!)

Sometimes it's so loud even with their headphones on. I'm amazed sometimes at how loud/damaging some people's music is.
