It may interest you that a gas company in Brooklyn/Long Island that used to be called "Keyspan" was bought out by a UK company called "National Grid". It now goes by that name in Brooklyn now at least. I'm not sure about Manhattan since my gas is provided privately by my co-op. Maybe you can talk to someone in the U.K. office about working here?

Queens too. We get utility bills from Con Ed and National Grid.

I'm afraid not, but since you already work for them you may wish to start with your corporate office or human resources department in the U.K.

National Grid is laying down gas lines (or something like that) in my neighborhood in Brooklyn and they are working right in front of my building this week. I have absolutely no information on how you can work for them in NYC (sorry!) but they are certainly here and doing the type of work that fits in your skill set.

Awesome! I dont suppose you could ask them (if you get a chance) who they work for? They should be working for a sub-contractor of National Grid and possibly grab some details (email) thankyou!!

Sure thing. I'll see if I can catch them when I'm coming/going into my place.
