Default birds on window still

I have a ton of birds that like to sit in front of my window on that window still. Is there anyway to prevent the birds from sitting infront of the window. I am getting tired of hearing them and cleaning up their poopy mess. Should i lay down a bed of nails?

Oh, that can be the worst. I had a pair of pigeons that loved to sit on my air conditioner. The sound of their little claws on the metal was so irritating plus the mess they left. I would just bang on the window when I saw them....

Maybe put a fake owl? They do sell those.

My grandmother would have said that was a bad omen.

Old wives' tale, of course. Or an old Dutch superstition. Probably doesn't really mean anything. I'm sure everything will be fine...

They're on the window still?
Even after you tried to get them off the window sill?

I think a phony snake also works. At least it will have a lower profile than spikes or a fake owl.

Fake owls work but you have to keep moving it otherwise the birds catch on that it's fake. You can get some wood and put some nails through it but make sure it won't move. If you're renting an apartment, you may not want to start hammering wood into the window sill. I read somewhere that you can use petroleum jelly (vaseline). Apparently birds don't like or can't sit on it. It's kind of slippery lol
