It seems like a decent amount of sit down Mexican restaurants opened up in the South Bronx in recent years

I see the Bronx as a new up and coming foodie place. You will not find williamsburg style hipster places.

Many puerto rican , dominican & african and american cuisine ... very cheap and local .. just how iu like it oh yea and lots of Mexican

It'll never be able to compete with Queens as a foodie place. Foodies need Asian food, and all else. Not just uninteresting Latin Caribbean food.

The Bronx also has some undiscovered Bangladeshi and Jamaican fare and fusion in the North-West and North-Central.
