That's nice to know. Thanks!

Personally, I'll live there. When I was going to high school in Manhattan, I had 3 friends who lived in the Manhattan area and all three of them in projects. One of them lived in Amsterdam Houses, one in Harbor View and one in Chelsea Projects. I had family members who lived in the projects in Spanish Harlem and some in the projects in the L.E.S which were TERRIBLE.

These projects however, were a little different. Not saying it was heaven but the major redeeming quality was the fact they were all in amazing neighborhoods and were minutes away WALKING from happening, busy, hip, popular destinations of Manhattan. My friends who lived in Amsterdam and Harbor View were just MINUTES away (walking) from Lincoln Center, Colombus Circle, and freaking CENTRAL PARK AND TIMES SQUARE. At the time I was blown away and didn't even know there were projects in such happening areas. I've been at Amsterdam Projects late at night and slept over Harbor View a few times and there were definitely some jack asses and ghetto hood rats who just can't help but be infidels but it was nothing I wouldn't be able to deal with compared to the cesspool I currently live in now.

At the end of the day knowing that I can just get to the Chelsea Piers, Central Park, Times Square, all the nice restaurants, clubs, bars and much more happening things within minutes by walking, I would settle for living in some of those houses. Not saying its my ideal place to live, certainly not but I would certainly make the best of it til I find somewhere else more desirable and for my liking.
