Yes, even though I work on the Upper Upper West Side, my thinking is that I *have* to go to work, so I'll make the trip regardless of how long it takes. Given the choice, I'd rather live somewhere that is more convenient to play than it is to work.

Living by the bus is not worth it. I think I've been spoiled by living by a subway station for so long, by the time I got to college and bus was the only way, I realized how much i took for granted because it is so damn long and you literally have to wait for EVERYONE to get on/off. Taking the subway is half the time!

You can live near a N train station, take it to Times Square and take the 1 from there. It will probably take about 40 minutes.
