The Roman Empire "fell" because they had stopped conquering, which meant no more slaves. Rome was a slave economy. They needed the labor to create their projects.

Second, it did not exactly "fall," although there was a sack. It happened over a long period.

Agree with the poster who pointed out that the burden of taxation falls mostly on the middle class, who do not qualify for anything, either.

Who says oust states won't just ship them to nyc? I love people who whine and cry about the poor, but are too lazy to be apart of the solutions and helping their fellow American, I love the hypocrisy of this country sometimes.

Well good for you, I didn't realize we were suppose to brag about our riches, how silly of me to forget that...well that case, carry on.

The immigrant from the Caribbean says "I can" and figures out how to do so based on values learned in the Caribbean.

Many of their kids, to the great disappointment of their parents, see it differently as do the kids who remain in the Caribbean.

This is a fact of life and is a starting point. There is a destructive force that exists in the USA.

Indeed. There are a number, and one of these forces is called "ghetto culture," certainly.

But they are already doomed and so they should not try to do anything differently, right ? And we should not have expectations or supply them with standards because of their "history." What would be the point ? What with the force and all.

Who could go against a force ? Much better to spend time discussing this force, and in detail.

And in response to this, three of the biggest losers I ever met in my life were ... Caribbean. Cousins of my significant other and this is an acknowledged fact, family-wide.
