Actually that would be called a coincident...no clue who this other person is you are referring to or where they are even posting. Besides, the 78 part of my name has to do with the year I was born, I often times add 78 to a number of user names. 83, I have no relation to it.

Do they make mistakes? YES..they are human remember? Are they trying to help right the ship for everyone? YES.

Protests, disruptions, and anarchy are needed to impact change in this country..or have you been asleep for the past 150 years? if it weren't for these tactics, blacks would still be slaves, women would be 3rd class citizens/can't vote, segregation would be alive and strong, and on and on.

But hey....keep criticizing and "smh"...clearly protestors should abide by all rules and laws, get their special permits, and only protest so long as nobody is inconvenienced. Cuz really that's how you get change in this country....or any country for that matter.
Yes and I will keep "SMH" until the next bit of cold comes in and they all take a "break" again haha...again "SMH"
This country has given me the chance to do what I want, and seeing them across the street each and every day from my work place last year was more annoying, again "SMH"..you like that huh?
I will keep crticizing and "SMH" because again this country allows me to do that right? So we can "SMH" at each other all day long my friend, choice is yours

I was joking with a friend of mine who is a part of that group about the 4 year old children in a third world country who put his new Ipad together in run down factories, which he responded "thats ok."

My main problem with Occupy Wall Street was the way they shut down for the winter. That removed any credibility they had. A major national protest movement does not show up in good weather and stay bundled up at home in bad weather.

They did not shutdown for the winter, they were preparing for the next phase. To those who want to criticize, it may seem like they all went home to lie on the beach in Florida, but the reality was much different.

The police destroyed and confiscated all material items in Liberty Square, then barricaded it on all sides for the entire winter. If they didn't do that people would have slept there through this mild winter.

Also there is more than one Occupy site. Oakland, D.C., Boston, etc. Many of these have been continuously occupied since it began.

That is a very good point, besides I think most people would agree that the camping phase had fully run its course and was time for them to begin to move onto the next phase....now it will depend how well this next phase turns out for them because it can just as easily go stale and sputter out.

My inside sources actually just leaked a few photos of the next phase to me:

I'm all for these guys expressing their concerns. out on the open.

This country is very complacent. This country needs protests, it needs more civil involvement.

The big banks here knowingly took enormous risks, they knew that if their investment gambles went south, they could bring the whole economy down with them, but they did it anyway. Gordon gekko's famous quote of 'Greed is good' is also Wall st's motto.

Did we learn the lesson? Did we enact regulation to make sure this doesn’t happen again? Did we make sure these guys don’t run their banks like a Vegas Casino?

Nope, their lobby is too great to overcome.

See, the super rich and the big banks like to be capitalists with their profits, and socialists with their losses.

In other words, when they gamble and win big, most of that money goes to swisszerland or the caiman islands, but when they lose, we all have to foot the bill through a government bail-out.

People are not happy with how things have turned out lately. But they are too lazy or immersed in their bubbles to actively show their discontent.

If this happened in a democracy where the people actually had a say in their political destiny then you would see more protests, many more.

I just wish the OWS movement would have a more focus and clear message, but it’s hard to get to that point when you have a movement that is purely grass-roots and not directed by a central authority and indirectly financed by billionaires ( ie; Americans for prosperity & The Koch Brothers) like it’s the case with the tea party.
