MTA needs to combat the below first:

AC or industrial fans in all stations

A full length second ave line?...extensions Into SE Queens?...Airtrain to LaGuardia?...D train to Coop City?....2/5 to kings plaza?...Theres so much to do so little Money and time to do it....Give your feedback! Personally I think Laguardia is long overdue for some kind of rail connection...Extend the E.F.J.Z to the Nassau border...An the 2/5 to Kingsplaza...An the D to Coop would be Grand as well...I realize this is just a wishlist but one day could become reality in this great city...
There were actually two different proposals regarding LaGuardia Airport. One (the more likely) is to extend the N line past Ditmars Boulevard. The other one was to have a subway line running across Queens, connecting LaGuardia with JFK. This isn't going to happen--because Port Authority doesn't want it to (they're the ones responsible for Air Train).

The plan to extend the 2/5 line to Kings Plaza goes back almost half a century. It's might possibly be a shade likelier than the Utica Avenue subway...but not much.

And in the same way as New York City Transit took over the old LIRR Rockaway line and turned it into the A run to Far Rockaway, there's an old plan to take over the Rosedale branch and run the J line out to Rochdale Village. Just so you know: the present terminal for the J at Parsons/Archer wasn't intended to be a terminal. It was only the first step in the Rosedale branch project--but the rest never happened.

The bottom line is this: MTA is run by a bunch of people who don't live here, and have only a hazy understanding of the city's mass transit system. The people who built it were an entirely different breed--but they're long since gone. Major, innovative expansion projects just aren't good bets in this day and age.

Clearly we need a rail line or connection to the Eastern Bronx, which can easily be done either through new Metro-North stations, or extensions of existing lines, including the 2nd avenue train.

A Bronx-Queens-Brooklyn train is another need, to avoid the unnecessary trip through Manhattan, savings lots of space for those traveling to Manhattan, as well as saving time.

A comprehensive light rail system!
