When the MTA Is done with it current Megaprojects ( Kudos to Cuomo for getting the Remaining capital projects Fully Funded!) : 7 extension,Fulton st,2 Ave phase 1,And LIRR Grand central in 2020 or so...What do you think They will tackle next?? ... A full length second ave line?...extensions Into SE Queens?...Airtrain to LaGuardia?...D train to Coop City?....2/5 to kings plaza?...Theres so much to do so little Money and time to do it....Give your feedback! Personally I think Laguardia is long overdue for some kind of rail connection...Extend the E.F.J.Z to the Nassau border...An the 2/5 to Kingsplaza...An the D to Coop would be Grand as well...I realize this is just a wishlist but one day could become reality in this great city...

Why would they extend the D train to Co Op City when the 5 and the 6 trains are already much much closer ? I think Co op City will soon get a metro north stop on the proposed new line through the East Bronx to Grand Central anyway but nothing beats a subway stop.

A while back I read somewhere that their are some groups pushing for a train that would connect Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens. You could hypothetically go from Bronx to Queens without having to go through Manhattan first...

It's possible this plan will achieve that because the new line will go over Hell's Gate and pass through Astoria and Long Island City on it's way to Grand Central. There is the definite possibility/probability ? of both subway and LIRR connections.

I guess it could act as sort of a North Bronx crosstown.

Yeah I think you're reffering to the "Triboro RX" project. . .

Actually, extending the D train to the eastern Bronx was proposed at one point through the Second System. This explains the little curve at 205th Street.

If Im Not mistaken 205 St was NOT the planned terminal of the D when it was built...Thats why is curves to te East to Line up Along Gun hill rd roughly and go across it to Coop City with transfers to the 2/5/5 at White plains and esplanade...The tunnel dead ends which cud easily be extended and jus terminate D at Bedford park...Until the extension is finished...with the peak hour express along concourse and The 24 hr run along cpw bronx residents would love it im sure
