My daughter has had pizza in many different places and she agrees. She raves about Lombardi's.

Lombardi's is fine but it's a tourist trap. You can just walk in but be ready to wait 30 mins to an hour if you go during peak hours. There will be plenty of other people waiting on the street for their tables as well.

It's good to know. Thank you.

Cool. I think pizza anywhwere in NY is better than pizza in other states. When we have family reunion in NY, all my bros, sisters and the kids coming from other states never forget to order pizza at least twice during the week that they stay in NY.

I've been there a few times. Yes the pizza is good.
No it's not the best in the country. Not even the best in New York City.
Spumoni Gardens in Crooklyn beats them any day.

Agree, and I don't believe you can actually just get a slice at Lombardi's, pretty sure you have to order a whole pie. That right there is enough for me to stay away.

You can ask 100 NY'ers their favorite pizza and you could get 100 different responses. I always loved Village Pizza on 8th.

Agree with the others. Ask 100 NYers and get 100 answers on the best pizza. Lombardi's is the most popular because of it's own self-perpetuating publicity. It's the most well known so it get's the most visitors so it's the most well known...ad infinitum. If you're from out of town you can tell your friends back home you went to Lombardi's and they'll be impressed because they saw it on the Travel Channel. I personally prefer Grimaldi's if you're going for the well known/touristy places but there are many other places that I believe are better and off the beaten path.

Show me someone who argues with others that ANY pizza is the best in the U.S., and I'll show you a fool. This is all entirely subjective. For instance, I don't like pizza so flimsy you can "fold" it. Many in NYC would probably say I'm stupid. But this is all a matter of personal preference for everybody.
