Well, now I'm confused. My number is well under 1000 range and in my letter they did not give me a possible date of contact. They just said IF they reach my # they will get in contact w/me. But now higher #'s have a possible contact date? August, I need to go home and read the letter again.
I'm in the low 1000's but only got an if statement in my letter as well. Confused... Maybe some people meet the priority/preference list and will get called sooner despite their lottery number?
Im in the low 100s and I went in already but first received a letter stating they would contact me IF they reached my #. A few days letter I got an appointment to come in. This is weird...

Hi everyone,
after my little rant on here yesterday, I go home and low & behold the interview letter is in the mail

My log# is in the 600's and I am not on the priority list. So I think they are moving along like they stated, priority people first, then log#'s. They are going through these #'s fast as we kinda thought they would. As Thaddeus stated the want 3 years tax returns, 2 months proof of income, verification of liquid assests to be used for a downpayment, 401(k) pension, savings, stocks, they also want you to bring a prequalification letter from a bank stating how much you will be eligible to borrow. I hope this information is helpful, and anyone that has a #under a 1000, i would suggest start making your copies now. LOL. I will keep everyone posted.
Like Soontobe, I also received by appointment letter a few days ago. I am new to this process, so I have some questions.
Is the letter setting up an appointment for an interview or just to drop off your financials? The letter says "In order to confirm your eligibility, we need for you to drop off copies of the documents listed on the back of this letter for further consideration of your application.."...followed by a date and time frame. Should I be expecting the interview when I drop off my financials?
Anyone willing to share the interview process? All my paperwork is in order, but I'd like to know what I should expect.
Once you submit your documents, they will look over them. They will give you a decision within 3-4 weeks after you drop off your documents. They have to figure out who is eligible from the preferred list 1st (municipal workers etc.), then they will work on those who are not. Those who don't will qualify for about 38% of the apartments. It will be really hard to get in. I submitted my docs last week.
