Sunset has the N which is a quick shot into the city. There's plenty of hipsters there; have been for awhile. But it's totally residential for them, they don't hang out there.
interesting. i always thought hipsters strongly preferred a "dual-purpose" "nabe" meaning one where they can live and drink and fornicate. i guess that's triple-purpose, altho drinking and screwing go hand in hand. anyway i assume you mean sunset park. i bolded the part where you said "quick shot" .. i was under the impression the N crawls when it's between boroughs (i.e., under water). i guess not.
Well the tunnels always suck, that's for sure, but I'm talking about actual stops. The N (and I forgot the D), from 36th is a relatively quick right into Manhattan.
I've noticed that too. That's why neighborhoods like Canarsie, Flatlands, ENY, Mill Basin, and Bergen Park are going down hill. You also have North Bronx neighborhoods like wakefield and queens neighborhoods like laurelton and springfield gardens.
Tell that to the poor people that are priced out of other neighborhoods that move there.
And there you have it folks...
For the record basic common sense even for the brain dead would suggest that if poor people can't afford neighborhoods like Bed-stuy or Bushwick for example, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be able to afford areas like Mill Basin either... Point being, the poor aren't move to these areas, just the middle class folk whose color happens to be a little darker...

Are you actually talking about Flatlands in general? Or just Mill Basin itself? Because I'm sure Mill Basin and Bergen Beach are still more expensive then areas like Bushwick or Crown Heights.

That's why I said Mill Basin is not going down hill as fast as other neighborhoods. But look at the census block. The poverty is getting closer into these places.
