And how can there be no air traffic in New York City when there are 2 airports within it. Nonsensical.

when guiliani was in ofice they were banned, bloomie re instated it, our congress woman Nydia, something, wrote a whole letter to Bloomie, Mr Squadron also. This is all documented on the net

there was even a rally called stop the chop, it was all over the net, a lot of people do not like to hear helicopters flying all day long, it is annoying

airports are for airplanes, not tourist helicopters.

even lower manhattan residents are complaining about it

I agree with SoBro. While the QOL initiaves made the city feel less threatening, the reason the police were able to concentrate on these was the overall decrease in other crimes which resulted mostly from the improved economy which history attributes to NATIONAL policies which were enacted by a DEMOCRATIC president who worked with a Congress that was willing to solve the nation's problems. Giuliani was nothing but a divisive loudmouth who benefited from the work of others. Everyone knows that now and it is evidenced by his inablility to achieve any higher office beyond mayor.

Your problem--and it's fairly sad that this even has to be pointed out to you--is that you're using an article from the Post. Since Rupert Murdoch has been the owner of that paper, concepts such as fairness and journalistic integrity have been deleted from the equation. It's a hardcore, Republican butt-kissing rag that has more in common with supermarket tabloids than a newspaper.

The Post would like to see Giuliani inaugurated as our next President--and is hardly likely to criticize him in any way. Next time you feel the urge to present information, please quote from a legitimate source. (It'll also help your credibility!)

Haaaaa...so what do you recommend as a "non-bias" newspaper? The Daily News or the NY Times? Talk about bias newspapers, they are soooooo left-winged, liberal and democrat friendly with the labor unions in their pockets that I want to throw up every time I read a political story. They do serve well in picking up dog poop though. I give them that much. LOL

So there you have it ladies and gentlemen, no nyc paper is worth posting in here cause they are all clearly bias and are only delivering half truths. Maybe it is time for you to begin reading something else...unless you are fine with reading a paper that clearly panders to you and makes you feel right.

No one goes after blacks, like other blacks, dummy!
At the peak of the crime wave, >90% of NYC's murder victims were minorities, killed by other minorities. The same percentage today! Only then, it was 2,000 of 2,200, now it's 450 of 500. So, 1,700 fewer murder victims in NYC each year, 1,500 of whom are minorities! I credit the NYPD's anti-crime initiatives, for saving many of those lives. Fools like you won't acknowledge and can't handle the truth.
Why don't you try to do something to stop black-on-black violence, instead of whining about others? In NYC, the white murder rate is 1 per 100,000; the black rate is 15 per 100,000!

Hilltop, I've been reading your posts and trying to understand why you post what you do. If you rely on the NY Post for your political news, you are severly limiting your horizons. The NY Times vs. The Post? Really? I agree that the Times has a liberal bias but that is usually reserved for the editorials.

Do you listen to what Giuliani says today? He just endorsed Romney erasing all of the criticism he had just months ago.
