Default Holiday Inn Laguardia

This hotel is right next to Citi Field (Mets Stadium). There is a metro station right around the corner (3 blocks) at 111th and Roosevelt.

How is this area? Specifically at night? I am looking for a hotel and that just happened to pop up and it was close to the stadium. However, last time I was in that area it didn't seem like an area I'd want to walk around at night.

Thanks

I just went to the Queens Theater (great musical called STEAM HEAT...I predict Broadway) Adjacent the stadium in mid-afternoon (well, as adjacent as you can get with a gajillion car parking area between.)
It was pretty desolate THEN, and I imagine on non-game nights it's downright SPOOKY.

Looks like a good area to get your TIRES rotated.

yea...I checked google street view last night and from what I saw it seemed like an area that would probably make me feel uncomfortable at night.

Roosevelt avenue looked a little run down but the part that probably would worry me the most is the side street to Roosevelt from the hotel. Just not much there except houses. Seems like a good place for somebody to easily jump you.

I'd probably be going to a day game but we'd want to hit up Manhattan after the game for dinner. So coming back would probably be too long of a walk in an area like that.

Thanks for the info.
