I think Far Rock slightly beats out South Jamaica, although there's no debating one thing, both areas are the worst in Queens.

what area in queens is ok, besides Astoria which is to high on apts. im looking for a 2 bedroom in queens and not sure where to look, where it would be fairly safe. ty dee

What difference does it make?

The two areas are so different in several other ways, which trump crime, the question has no real purpose!

For example, Rockaway c/b better in crime, but the overly long commute and isolation negates that for MANY!

For others, the beach access and solitude compensates for whatever crime issues thr Rockaways may have.

South Jamaica may have higher crime, but greater convenience to everything!

So "crime" as differenciater is not top on the list!
