Default Gunshots.

Fairly sure I'm hearing gunshots from the building across the street. Earlier, lots of glass breaking. I hate this place. Sigh.

Bronxchick, move to the Northwest Bronx. Very safe, and in some neighborhoods you'll find cheap renting prices.

Well Riverdale is the only good area, and that is expensive

Marble hill however which is considered part of manhattan, is much more affordable.

What? What about Woodlawn and Van Cortlandt Village? Rarely ever does crime occur in these neighborhoods and they're not anywhere near as expensive as Riverdale.

Riverdale is probably the most expensive area of the Bronx, but far from the only good area.

For the record, I've never heard gunshots where I live either (Mosholu Parkway/Bedford Park).

After a while you'll get to "know" the type of caliber being used, i.e. a small caliber or a big one, also the type of weapon. I know I have.

I'm paying $1000 for a one bedroom in the morris park area. Forget about your lease. Claim your suffering from toxic mold syndrome and that if he won't let you break the lease your going to demand that he have the building checked for toxic mold.

Is the Morris Park area a lot safer? Many would probably say hell no, but I could be wrong. Except that the average Joe thinks anywhere in the Bronx is da ghetto.
