Guess what? Con Ed is going to pass costs to us no matter what happens. The union is just a convenient excuse for them.

And please note that the workers did not go out on strike--quite the contrary, the union said that it wanted to continue negotiating. Management locked them out (a strategy that they admit only works if nothing unusual happens. If something does, look out--major problems ahead!)

Thanks; I was ready to hit the panic button. I hate to agree with the posters who mentioned we (customers) will likely be dragged into this fishy blame game (in terms of bottom line dollars and cents), but I have a feeling they're probably right.
