Default Does everybody secretly want to live in New York City, if they could?

So, what do you think about this? Is this a possibility?

I've wanted to live in New York City for a long, long time. But I never actually did anything to make it happen. This past Spring I applied for some jobs in NYC, and I might be getting one. I don't know yet. But yeah, it's certainly my secret dream to live in NYC.

I know many do. I don't believe in words like "all" and "everybody" since there are always exceptions.

Many Americans across the country are getting sick of living in dead soulless subdivisions in the middle of knowhere and are seeking convenience, culture, energy and amenities of a large city like NYC. And even in many large cities around the country, they don't have what NYC has in terms of the lifestyle that most believe a large city should offer. Suburban life is especially brutal for people 18-30 and childless people.

I live about ~20 miles away from the NYC border and I plan on eventually moving into the city.

Yeah, I live in a big city already, but I still want to move to NYC. It's mostly that 1) I don't want to drive anymore. I am tired of the car payment, the insurance, the traffic, and the expensive gas. I just got into a fender bender the other day, incidentally, and my insurance is going to go up, and 2) I live in the South and I'm tired of the sweltering heat. I want to be where I can wear my jackets and sweaters.

I love NY myself, but give me a break. The world doesn't revolve around this city.

Yes! that's why everyone on here CDF shows pictures of their city in a way to make it look like new york, hey look at my skyline, hey look when I take a photo from here it looks like a mini-manhattan, hey look where I live it's all buildings like Brooklyn. I admit it, I would drop MKE in a heartbeat for NYC but I have always have a love for huge cities like NYC, Milwaukee is great but it needs about 10 million more people.
