TyHustle how long have you had N1 or is it N0 status?
Hey TallMisfit, I've been Certified with N1 status since July 22, 2011 but I've had N1 status without being Certified since November 2010 but weren't yet certified because I was still going through the background check process. So I would say officially July 22, 2011 because that is when I was Certified to the Manhattan Borough Wide Waiting List for a Studio apt. I've been waiting over a year since my Being Certified and still nothing...wish I knew someone that could help, I've tried everything in my powers.

@ tyhustle, I got a letter in the mail. They consider a bathroom as a room and if its a studio it will say 2 room apt. Talk about setting people up for a let down. I really hope there will some day be a reform to the way nycha works. Especially with the 1 billion dollars they haven't put to use.

I called yesterday to speak with someone at the appeals office at 250 broadway and the told me to call the manhattan borough office who told me to call someone else and gave me the crazy run around until I had enough... Still trying to figure out who to call.
@Jade... Your welcome. Also, stay positive... I've been waiting a while but I know Jesus got me and at the least I'm Certified and for the borough I actually want to live in.
@TallMisfit... I hope they give me a one bedroom but whatever it is I'll be grateful as I need to move ASAP! I'll keep you guys posted on my progress.

@Jade I'm pretty sure you'll get in before Christmas, especially for the fact you have a young child. The process is quicker for anyone with a child. Good Luck
