Default Taxi Fare Manhattan-Queens

How much would it cost approx. to take a yellow (metered) taxi cab from either the Port Authority or Penn Station to the Forest Hills/Rego Park area? Is there a difference in the fares if one takes a cab on the weekend rather than a weekday or at night?

At night there is a surcharge, but the cost is neglible. Something like a buck fifty or two bucks, don't recall.

Roughly $20 to $25 is my guess.

To Astoria $15 to $20.

I have made it from 42nd Street and 8th Avenue to Hammels in the Rockaways for $45 in a yellow cab.

Wasn't even drunk surprisingly...too tired to deal with the train that night.

Last time I took a cab from midtown to Kew Gardens, it was around $30, before tip. And with no traffic--totally depends on what time of day you are doing this.
