Random??

HIGHLY unlikely!!

It appeared VERY deliberate. Frankly, it looked just like a prison hit.

Random, in NYC, simply means nobody is talking, and the cops got nothing!

The victim either owes somebody money, or in some way being a 'problem' for someone very serious. The attack was a MESSAGE. Totally *professional* hit.

It makes The Post, because it happened in Rego Park and the way it happened. In addition to the fact that it is all on video!! Such things don't happen much in that neighborhood and certainly not on video.

Cops: "Any idea who mkght have a problem with you?"

Victim: No, none!

Victim's silent thoughts: wondering how much that Five Grand he lost gambling six months ago adds up to know with the 'Vig'???

Innocent victim. Random. Yeah right!

NY Post and the media selling newspapers and ads stoking the irrational fears of crime and black people of irrational people.

OP, are you one of the irrational?

I was thinking that there had to be some connection unless the attacker was mentally ill or something of that nature. I've noticed that random acts of violence are much more rare then those with a motivation. But you never know there are some crazy people out there that will do stuff like this because you looked at them weird or even just not liking how you look. I remember being out shopping and a guy came up to me and said he didn't like how I looked and he wanted to punch me...LOL.. I acted like I didn't hear him and quickly walked away and luckily lost him before his crazy kicked in.

There was a case in the news a few years ago about a guy going around stabbing people in the butt. It's a paraphilia called piquerism where they get sexual gratification from stabbing or cutting a person's butt (maybe certain other parts also). Not saying that's what was going on here but it immediately brought that and other similar news stories to mind.

Nothing "random" about that attack. That was a pure grudge attack with reasons yet to be determined.
